I love brunch and boots is 1-year-old today. I started this blog because I felt like I needed something creative to do, to push my personal style, and to learn more about social media. Over the past year I feel like I’ve accomplished all of those things. I’ve interacted with great people I wouldn’t have otherwise (via Twitter or in person) while discovering a whole new community and layer of the fashion industry, which has been great.
It’s been quite a year from weddings, instgramming, trying to become better at cooking, skiing for the first time, the McQueen exhibit, discovering new things about New York, traveling and getting engaged myself, I’m looking forward to what happens next.
So here’s to the past 365 days, thanks for reading!
And many thanks to my friend Danielle (who also started off her 2012 in a big way); without her, this blog never would have gotten started…and many thanks to my interim photographers as well.
I joined StyleMint recently and can’t tell you how many times I’ve worn this shirt. I’ll spend $30 on the shirt that fits perfectly and feels immediatley like an old favorite any day.
For all stylish things Olsen.

I probably tried on 5 pairs of shoes to go with this outfit. Everything felt too serious or too sweet. However, these flat lace up boots struck the perfect balance I was looking for, and as an added bonus, are 100% comfortable.

I went to Beijing on my first work trip overseas. I was able to spend an extra day seeing the sites: The Forbidden City, Tiananmen Square and The Great Wall, which were all overwhelmingly beautiful.
I usually don’t buy the same thing in multiples. However, I have this plaid shirt from Banana Republic in two colors and they’re probably some of the most worn items in my closet.

Delta Girl Frames
I am so excited to choose pictures and hang these on my wall! The frames in this Etsy shop are very special and can be personalized as much as much as you want (colors, patterns, etc) or you can ask Sarah Ella Cole to work her magic!
Levi’s has Jeans that fit like leggings (but are still actually real pants) and they are amazing. I’ve been searching for acceptable black pants that can be worn with boots for awhile, and these fit the bill perfectly.
